Workshop on Exclusive Rights, Licensing and Franchising, 14 September 2018
Intellectual property exclusive rights are obtained through registration if it is industrial property and through the creation of works if the field of literature and art. Many of these rights may be subject of transfer to new owners, licenses, franchises and of distribution agreements. The non deposit of such agreements concerned ministry deprive the contract to oppose to third parties. The content of these contracts is quite complicated, some of which need to be discussed. Today’s seminar has presented some of the complexities, especially the license and franchise contracts, by Mr. Oph Rady, Director of the Intellectual Property Department, Ministry of Commerce, which focuses specifically on exclusive rights to branding adn recordal of contracts, lawyer of Pich Ang, Intellectual Property Association President, focusing on different notions these agreements, especially the content of contract: licenses and contract Franchises.
