The Ministry of Industry and Handicraft Enacts Two Prakas (Declaration)
On July 25, 2016, the Ministry of Industry and Handicraft enacted two significant declarations concerning patent application and registration in Cambodia. The first declaration is the Prakas on the Registration of Singapore Patent in Cambodia and second is the Prakas on Acceleration of Patent Registration for Japanese Patent Applications in cooperation with the Japan Patent Office. Cambodia Patent Office of the Ministry of Industry and Handicraft informed that the office is now accepting the re-registration of Singapore Patent in Cambodia and also accepting the Japan Patent Application. The two declarations will boost the number of Singapore patent and Japanese applications in Cambodia and also increase the Cambodia economy.
