Draft Laws and Regulations of the Minister of Commerce
On August 10, 2016, H.E. PAN Sorasak, the Minister of Commerce presided over the fourth meeting of Committee on Management and Advancement of Trade Related Draft Laws and Regulations to receive updates on the drafting of ten laws and regulations. They are as follows:
- Draft Law on Consumer Protection
- Draft Law on Competition
- Draft Sub-Decree on Establishment of Cambodian Halal Committee
- Draft Sub-Decree on Establishment of Committee for Anti-Counterfeit of Gems, Stones and Arts
- Draft Law on E-Commerce
- Draft Law on Commercial Contract
- Draft Law on Food
- Draft Law on Trade Remedies
- Draft Amendment to the Law on Secured Transaction
- Propose Amendment of Law/Sub-Decree on Overseas Chamber of Commerce
Only the first two draft laws are related to IP. Before the adjournment of the meeting, Excellency Minister urged the Committee on Management and Promotion of Trade Related Draft Laws and Regulations to continue the good work before setting the schedule for the next meeting for August 22, 2016.
